Jeb Jones

Head Football Coach

Coach Jones is entering his seventh year of coaching and first season as the Head Coach at Arlington.

Coach Jones spent his first two seasons at Fayette-Ware High School serving as the Defensive Coordinator for a season and Offensive Coordinator for the other, winning a district championship. The next three seasons he joined the staff at Green Hill High School in Mt. Juliet, TN. During his time at Green Hill, he served as the Running Backs Coach and Specials Teams Coordinator and was a part of another district championship winning team. In his last season at Green Hill, he served in the role of Co-Offensive Coordinator and Associate Head Coach. After Green Hill, Coach Jones went on to be the Offensive Coordinator at South Gibson County High School in Medina TN.

Coach Jones is excited about joining the staff and working with the student athletes at Arlington.

He is married to his wonderful wife Hannah and they have a two year old son, Houston.

Jonathan Bussey

Special Teams Coordinator

Outside Linebackers Coach

Coach Jonathan Bussey enters his third season at Arlington High School, where he serves as the Special Teams Coordinator and Outside Linebackers Coach.

Before joining Arlington, he spent two seasons at Collierville High School, working as the Freshman Linebackers Coach and Special Teams Coordinator, while also assisting the varsity defensive staff. In 2020, he coached for the Bartlett Middle School program, serving as the Defensive Line Coach and Special Teams Coordinator.

Coach Bussey is a 2013 graduate of Macon Road Baptist School. As a senior, he was a team captain, All-District and All-State player, and recorded 99 tackles. He went on to play collegiate football at Bethel University as a member of the 2015 team before transferring to the University of Memphis in 2016. There, he earned a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education and later a Master’s degree in Instruction and Curriculum Leadership, with a concentration in Physical Education.

Coach Bussey is married to his wife, Jessica.

Jonathan Loyd

Inside Linebackers Coach

Coach Loyd is entering his sixth season with Arlington and is the Associate Head Coach, Defensive Coordinator, and coaching inside linebackers. Before coming to Arlington, he was at Christian Brothers High School, where he served as the Freshman Defensive Coordinator, Receivers Coach, and assisted with the varsity defense. Coach Loyd graduated from Riverdale High School in 2010, where he lettered four years in varsity football and then received his Bachelor’s degree from Middle Tennessee State University, where he assisted the football program. He received his Master’s degree from the University of Memphis. Coach Loyd is married to his wife Whitney, and they have two children, Sutton and Brantley.

Adam Sykes

Offensive Coordinator

Running Backs Coach

Coach Sykes begins his 20th season as a coach. He has coached QB’s, WR’s, DB’s, RB’s, OL, and DL, while holding titles of Offensive Coordinator for three years and Head Coach for six years. 

Coach Sykes graduated high school from Washington School in Greenville, MS. Coach Sykes received a degree in Business Education from Delta State University where he was a member of the football team for four seasons, including the 2000 National Championship Team. He and his wife Liz have two boys, Landon and Dylan.

Joc Jones

Corners Coach

A graduate of Arlington High School (Class of 2015), Coach Jones began his coaching journey immediately after graduation, driven by a passion for football and player development. He spent two years coaching at Arlington Middle School, helping young athletes build their skills and love for the game.

Now in his first year on the Arlington High School coaching staff, Coach Jones is proud to be back at his alma mater. “This program shaped me as a student and an athlete, and I’m excited to give back to the next generation.”

Coach Jones earned his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Memphis in 2021.

Tyler McCoin

Defensive Line Coach

Coach McCoin is entering his third year of coaching with Arlington Football. He currently serves as a Behavioral Analyst Assistant for the SPED department at Arlington Community Schools, where he continues to support students both on and off the field. A former offensive line standout for Bethel University's football team, Coach McCoin's five-year tenure led to two conference championship wins and an All-Conference recognition. His football journey began in Odessa, TX, and evolved into a commitment that thrived at Rossview High School in Clarksville, TN.


Having graduated in 2023 with a degree in Education, Coach McCoin’s transition from player to coach has been seamless. He and his wife, Aubrey, a longtime supporter of Arlington, having graduated from Arlington High School in 2015, are now raising their energetic, almost two-year-old son in the district they proudly call home. Coach McCoin’s approach to coaching blends personal triumphs, team spirit, and a commitment to nurturing the next generation of players.

Carson Evans

Defensive Backs Coach

College Recruiting Coordinator

Before coming to Arlington, Coach Evans was a Graduate Assistant Coach for The University of Tennessee Martin (UTM) football team for the 2024 season. Prior, he was a four year starter at safety for the UTM football team under Head Coach Jason Simpson where he helped the team win three consecutive conference championships. Coach Evans is currently pursuing his Masters in Sports Performance and Coaching. Before earning a full scholarship to UTM, Coach Evans graduated from First Assembly Christian School in 2019 where he started four years at safety and wide receiver. Coach Evans is excited to have the opportunity to be at the high school level to help develop young men for life on and off the football field.

Devon Coburn

Offensive Line Coach

Coach Coburn began on the Arlington Football coaching staff in 2015 where he has coached both the offensive and defensive lines.  He is the Run Game Coordinator and Offensive Line coach this season.  A native of Noxapater, MS., Coach Coburn earned three letters while playing at Ole Miss. His career at Ole Miss started as a defensive lineman, but he moved to the offensive line during the spring of 1996. During his senior season, he started all 12 games at left tackle and earned second-team All-Southeastern Conference honors. He was selected for Offensive Lineman of the Week honors for games with Tulane and Georgia. He also started at offensive tackle as a junior and defensive tackle his sophomore season. Coach Coburn signed to the Detroit Lions in 1998. He holds a BBA in Marketing and Masters of Education. Coach Coburn and his wife Anntionette have three children: Darian, Keanna, and Charity.

Casey Nelson

Wide Receivers Coach

Coach Nelson was raised in Florida, where he played wide receiver at Choctawhatchee High School. He went on to play semi-pro football while serving in the US Air Force in Dayton, OH. He started his coaching career at Twin Valley South High School in West Alexandria, OH. Before his 2-year sabbatical, Coach Nelson was the Freshman Head Coach for 11 years and Varsity for two years at Arlington High School. Coach Nelson is married to Emily and has three kids: Caleb (former player at Arlington), Cailey (former dancer at Arlington), and Cam (current player at Arlington). He enjoys playing golf, LOVES everything Disney, and is active at Bellevue Baptist Church.

Freshmen Football Coaches

Anthony Fox

Freshman Head Coach

Coach Fox is entering his second year as a Freshman Head Coach and is serving as the Defensive Coordinator. Prior to becoming the Freshman Head Coach, he was at Arlington Middle and was the Middle School Director/Head Coach for four years and was the Offensive Coordinator before that. Before joining the high school staff, he was the Offensive Coordinator at the AYS Tigers for seven years. This will be his eighteenth year coaching Arlington football. Coach Fox graduated from Franklin High School where he played football all three years and then received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee at Martin. Coach Fox is married to his wife, Clare, and has two children, Emma & Mac, both graduates of AHS.

Johnny Westbrook

Defensive Line Coach

Coach Westbrook is entering his first season with Arlington Football, coinciding with his first year as a paraprofessional at Arlington High School. Prior to joining the Tigers, he spent one season at First Assembly Christian School, serving as the Varsity Defensive Line Coach and Strength Coach.

A former defensive lineman for the University of Memphis, Coach Westbrook’s three-year career with the Tigers included three consecutive bowl victories. His football journey began in Memphis, TN, and his passion for the game grew into a dedication to mentoring young athletes, first at First Assembly Christian School in Cordova, TN.

Coach Westbrook graduated in 2022 with a degree in Physical Education, making his transition from player to coach both natural and seamless.
